亚太区皮革展前一天举办的全球鞋业领袖高峰会大受好评,而当中Export Now的Frank Lavin说,MOTS是策划方面最常见的管理方式。MOTS是More of the Same (大同小异的意思),在瞬息万变的世界中,MOTS给企业带来了极大的危险,没有人能够停滞不前。但2019亚太区皮革展首天,当你穿插于皮革商的展位之间,骤眼看来与四分一世纪前的展会没有两样。
一个行业不着力于市场推广,十年来一直保持「大同小异」的心态实在令人难以想象。今天的展位都十分繁忙,而通道在首日都挤得水涉不通,但这情况究竟意味着业务回到从前最好的状况,还是展商已习惯在新常态下持续的低成交量,则不得而知。
即使如此,在场并没有人抱怨,而大家的对话都显得很活跃,在媒体发布会之外,并没有太多人谈及特朗普关税或英国脱欧。然而,制革商必须更好地了解地缘政治,因为他们将在皮革业复杂的供应网络中发挥越来越大的作用。
正如新闻发布会上所说,亚太区皮革展可以提供平台,但业界必须开展业务。
